Aurora stealth election canceled!
April 28th, 2006 by bethskinnerThanks to the efforts of Arapahoe County Treasurer candidate Dan Kopelman, FreedomWorks Colorado state director Beth Skinner, the Libertarian Party of Colorado, KHOW radio talk show Colorado Exposed, the Aurora City Council and others, the Aurora Mental Health Center decided to cancel their seemingly stealth tax increase election scheduled for May 2. Living proof that grass roots efforts - especially, when performed with such a large base, can have a profound and lasting effect on public policy.
