Rep. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) continues to fight against unnecessary federal spending. Call your congressman today and ask him to support Rep. Flake’s efforts to save taxpayer dollars by stopping these deficit increasing projects:

trails and parks

  • Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail, Monterey, CA. $500,000  
  • Fairfax County, Virginia Park Authority for field improvements in Annandale, VA. $50,000 

museums, theaters, etc.

  • Strand Theater Arts Center in Plattsburgh, NY for the conversion of the Strand Theater into a performing arts center. $250,000 
     

  • University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS for the construction of the William Faulkner Museum. $1,500,000 
  • City of Yucaupa, CA for the design and construction of a multipurpose athletic facility at Crafton Hills College. $500,000 
  • City of Banning, CA for renovations to the city-owned pool. $500,000 
     

ridiculous road spending

  • Agri-Center Interchange, Tulare, CA. $250,000 
  • Fairmont Gateway Connector System, WV. $1,700,000 
  • Xerox Area Road Improvements, Monroe County, NY.    $1,000,000 
  • Bakersfield Beltway System, CA.  $140,000,000 
     

vague facilities

  • City of Weirton, WV for planning and design, construction, renovation, and build out facilities. $100,000

ridiculous facilities

  • The Audubon Society in Columbus, OH for the construction of a new Audubon Nature Center on the Whittier Peninsula. $500,000

    Max;

    I’d like a list of Washington State projects to rail against so Washingtonians do our fair share in the Fight Against Pork please!

    Yes, this stuff can get funny… but it’s also deadly serious.
