Questionable Asbestos Diagnoses

June 16th, 2006 by Paul Burks

The June 10 edition of the Wall Street Journal reports that Richard Levine, a doctor involved in asbestos litigation is fleeing his previous absestos diagnoses with haste.

Dr. Levine only last month signed an affidavit disavowing every asbestosis diagnosis he’d issued, claiming that he had no training in diagnosing the disesase.  Dr. Levine, who had previously defended his “diagnoses” under oath, has been involved in at least 22,000 asbestos claims.

Diagnoses that Doctors defend in court and then disavow later make an Asbestos trust fund start to sound like a jackpot for the dishonest.
