While Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm and Sen. Debbie Stabenow are facing very tough challenges this fall, FreedomWorks Michigan is continuing to build its grassroots base throughout the state. One of our priorities will be educating voters about the tax-and-spend policies of these two liberal politicians, and the dire state of the Michigan economy.

Michigan has an unemployment rate of around 7% and one of the overall worst economies in the nation. Clearly the oppressive tax policies of Gov. Granholm have kept businesses from coming into the state to provide jobs and investment.

As Donald Lambro notes in The Washington Times, these politicians are facing tough battles this fall because the public is upset about the fruits of their left-wing economic agenda.

What should really scare liberal policymakers is the growing army of conservative activists that is raising money, educating the public and motivating them to spread the word about the need for tax cuts, spending restraint and deregulation in the state of Michigan.

FreedomWorks Michigan could make things very interesting in the court of public opinion this fall. Stay tuned.
