Promoting the Free Market at the FCC hearings

October 5th, 2006 by Brendan Steinhauser

This week in California, FreedomWorks was the only voice promoting the free market regarding issues of media ownership rules. Click here to listen to the audio (mp3 file)

The crowd at the FCC hearing at USC was overwhelmingly Leftist, and echoed the arguments of the bad guys in the novel Atlas Shrugged. They never even questioned whether or not the government should get involved in dictating to businesses what they can and cannot own. Frightening rhetoric indeed.

You can watch the PBS show NOW, which did a segment on the issue. Click ”video” and then fast forward to 17 minutes and 30 seconds in the clip.

I just listened to this great speech and if I have time this weekend, I’ll post a transcript in this comment thread.

These lunatics who said “Heil Hitler! Heil Hitler! Heil Hitler!” are so stupid, no small wonder the marketplace rejects them.
