Human Events examines Senator Barack Obama’s record in the Illinois legislature, and finds a number of votes against business and in favor of higher taxes. Obama voted to sustain the state’s death tax, he voted for a protectionist tax scheme on gas from outside the state, and he voted to increase the state minimum wage.
