Connecticut voters oppose Gov. Rell’s income tax hike

Connecticut Gov. Jodi Rell’s income tax hike plan is not popular among Connecticut’s citizens. The Hartford Courant reports

Democrats were evenly divided on the income tax increase, while Republicans were opposed, 65 to 30 percent.

Increasing the income tax only on the wealthy — an idea favored by many Democratic legislators — was opposed, 50-44 percent.
