Sally C. Pipes is President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Research Institute in San Francisco. A Canadian who has become a naturalized United States citizen, she speaks and gives invited testimony at the national and state levels on key health care issues facing America. Her book, “Miracle Cure: How to Solve America’s Health Care Crisis and Why Canada Isn’t the Answer” was released in September 2004. She has recently authored critical articles on Massachusetts’ new health reform program and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s California proposal.
Ms. Pipes will be in Salem all day Wednesday, March 28th talking about the quest for universal health care coverage.
In addition to the dinner, she will speak at Cascade’s Legislative Leadership Forum in HR 50 at the Capitol at noon. Legislators, staffers, agency personnel, lobbyists and media are all invited to attend. Complimentary box lunches will be served to those who RSVP by Monday, March 26th.
She will also provide invited testimony before the House Health Care Committee at 3pm.
The dinner may be your best opportunity to spend some time talking with her at length about the strengths and weaknesses of the health reform plans before you this session.
