Looks like the candidates were pretty scripted on Iraq, but are starting to show energy on economic issues. Mitt Romney pledged to not raise taxes. Giuliani and Romney both propose not replacing retiring federal employees; this would be a good move in shrinking government. McCain brings up the need to rein in spending, and that Republicans lost their congressional majorities because of an addiction to spending. Brownback tackles energy issues by understanding we have a supply and demand problem, and he wants to increase supply, and “drill more at home.” What about reforming Social Security? What about fundamental tax reform?
