Edwards Cashes in on Poverty

John Edwards, who speaks of there being “two Americas” has run his presidential campaign largely on the theme of eradicating poverty in this country and throughout the world. For children who want to go to college, Edwards promises to remove “every financial barrier.” Yet at a recent speaking event at UC Davis, Edwards speaking fee was a whopping $55,000.
