Clinton Opposes Ownership Society

May 30th, 2007 by Xander Zebrose

On Tuesday Hillary Clinton, in a speech in New Hampshire, came out against Bush’s ‘ownership society’.

“it’s time to replace an ‘on your own’ society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity. The Democratic presidential hopeful said what the Bush administration touts as an ‘ownership society’ really is an “on your own” society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.”

It is surprising that there are still supporters of this socialist ideology. It is our ‘on your own’ society that has produced unprecedented prosperity and improved the standard of living of all Americans.
