Florida Pushes for Bigger Role in 2008 Primary

Lawmakers in Florida have decided to move the presidential primary vote to January 29. Florida will hold the primary a week after early-bird New Hampshire and a week before February 5, or “Super Tuesday.”

Jim Greer, Chairman of the Florida Republican Party argues:

We recognize the (national) party’s need to control the primaries, but individual states need to do what best benefits their voters.
