FreedomWorks NC takes on corporate welfare

FreedomWorks activists were there to lobby legislators to convince them not to provide special favors to one company over another.

Here is an excerpt from the story.

The General Assembly avoided a veto showdown Monday with Gov. Mike Easley.

The General Assembly has delayed votes on an override of an economic incentives bill so that lawmakers and the governor have time to work out a tentative compromise. Easley called the Legislature back to Raleigh to consider his veto of a bill that could give Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. up to $40 million over 10 years to upgrade its plant in Fayetteville.
