Hugo Chavez Keeps Getting Loonier

This story would be funnier if Chavez wasn’t derailing his country by expanding the state’s control over the economy and the media. (Also not amusing is the fact that some American liberals still celebrate the dictator and his agenda.) If you still think Hugo Chavez is rational, check out this story about recent (and apparently bungled) efforts to create Venezuela’s own time zone.

Chavez has dismissed criticism that moving the time only a half hour was quirky, questioning why the world had to follow a scheme of hourly divisions that he said was dictated by the imperial United States. The change will put Venezuela on its own time zone, shared by no other country.

    Loony? Yes. Bungled? Not quite; he postponed this until next Monday. Can’t wait to see how that pans out.

    I think besides beiing an idiot and an imbecile with no respect for elected government leaders when in fact he himself is a dictator who does not deserve any, he’a a dangerous man who needs to go period.
