Ah, the New York Times

The good news is that a New York Times editorial lets us know that an OECD report says that, at 28.2% of GDP, the U.S. has one of the lowest total tax takes of any wealthy country. And they even admit that what growth we have seen in tax revenues since 2004 is “is due mostly to the spectacular increase in corporate profits.”

The bad news? That means the NYT editorial board thinks that it must mean that taxes are too low.
