More on Huckabee
January 3rd, 2008 by Matt HittleToday, the Drudge Report linked a short YouTube clip of ultraliberal Susan Estrich discussing the Democrats’ view of a Huckabee nomination.
Huckabee could win tomorrow. Huckabee is the Democrats’ dream…If the Republicans nominate Huckabee, honey, I’m dancing at the inaugural ball.
It’s a bad sign when the other party approves of your frontrunner.

Huckabee sounds like Jimmy Carter on foreign affairs, to the extent that they both sound like they have ZERO understanding of foreign affairs.
And Huckabee sounds like John Edwards the way he talks about class warfare, the middle class, and other economic issues.
People have said “Jimmy Carter + Bill Clinton = Mike Huckabee,” I think “Jimmy Carter + John Edwards = Mike Huckabee” is a better discription.
Honestly looking at the records, Fred Thompson (overall) truly does have the consistent conservative record and rhetoric on security and prosperity issues (and social issues). And he’s the only one to have developed practical conservative solutions.

What record is that? The record where he sleptwalk through his years in the Senate, not passing one significant piece of legislation? If we want nothing done, Fred Thompson will be great at it.
