The rich getting less money/not being able to keep more of their earnings is not a "boo hoo" situation in that they get to spend less money on what apparently you think the rich waste their money on: material excesses. It is a "boo hoo" situation in that they get to invest less of their money in their businesses, which in turn provides less room for growth: no money to invest in experimentation or innovation, and therefore less jobs. So please save your hackneyed, cliched, story about the dirty rich and the exploited, hurt poor. Your generalizations hurt and insult both respective groups.

Our economy is based on consumption...it's a majority of what happens in our economy, which apparently grew at less than 1% last quarter BTW. Boo hoo...the rich get "nothing". They can afford their own crying towels IMO. The working poor, "legal" or not, pay a huge amount in regressive payroll taxes. Blame yourselves for your "supply-side" failures (borrow and spend policies) to control the debt and deficit over many decades. People can put their tax rebates in the bank (like I am) if they want to...that will make more money available for investment through loans.

It's recession time baby...and Rep. Campbell is a bold-faced liar IMO.
