Ron Paul appears to be the most conservative member
in the race.
Take a look at the following site for a real education
on the candidates.
It ends a lot of confusion:

Yay! Now we (and by we I mean all you guys) can all rally 'round McCain...100 more years in Iraq, no plan to reform health care...it's onward to defeat in November!! Man, you like to keep kicking a man when he's down...at least let Romeny fade into oblivion with some amount of dignity...geez...

"that people can depend on the government to provide a safety net for them?"

Get used to the fact that we're never, repeat never, getting rid of the sfaety nets that are in place in our society. They work & they are popular, period.

"but doesn’t publicly funded energy research do just that?"

And stop being a stick in the mud on alternative energy. The R & D that's done in this area will end up benefiting everyone (even you!), no matter who does it.

Well, I'm although I believe Ron Paul's foreign policy is naive, I am supporting him for President to protest idiot conservatives who decided to go with what the MEDIA says and voted for the guy that the MEDIA said was the only one to beat the Democrats.

Reagan proved that if Republcians run on conservative principles and communicate those principles...Republicans WIN hands down EVERY time. The Republicans in 1994 proved it again.

But what does the MEDIA say, "The only one who can beat the Democrats in November is McCain because he's the moderate." And what do conservatives do? They listen to the MEDIA! What IDIOTS!

Fred Thompson was the true conservative, and conservatives screwed that chance of winning. Then Romney became the closest thing to a true conservative, and conservatives screwed that chance. McCain, he has screwed with conservatives on key policy issues almost at every turn, he's a moderate not a conservative. Huckabee, is purely political and is a big government conservative, who screwed the Republicans in Arkansas and he will do the same thing to the RNC.

The only choice for conservatives to do is protest, and vote for Ron Paul.
