The problem is that those of you who can afford to buy health insurance but don't still use up health care resources...and that costs the rest of us money, which isn't fair. If you need monetary assistance to buy health insurance, then there are ways to get help for that.

"Clinton’s plan would merely allow those that would like to have a choice in their health care plans access to the exact, same set of *private* health care plans that Congress and federal employees get access to right now."

I would like to have a choice - to not have health care if I don't want too. FORCING citizens to pay as Hillary put it "Their share" is a communistic idea in itself. Pre-chosen PRIVATE Health Care providers sounds EXACTLY like special interest to me. So, if I don't have Health Care, I'm required to purchase it, from the options they choose for me? I'm sorry, I just don't buy into the idea that this will be good for everyone. It sounds like no one will be treated medically unless they have "paid their share", even if they can't afford it. It's basically another tax - but it's not withheld from our paychecks.

"and a small band of grassroots activists quickly rose up to successfully oppose it."

Jeeze, when you start out like this...completely and totally re-writing history...that's a bad sign. How about the Clinton health care reform in the 1990s was soundly defeated by the interests that viewed it as a serious threat...the private health care industry (pharmaceuticals, insurance companies, etc., etc.).

Clinton's plan would merely allow those that would like to have a choice in their health care plans access to the exact, same set of *private* health care plans that Congress and federal employees get access to right now. These our health care plans at a reasonable cost, period. She'd also like to institute computerized medical records to increase efficiency and combat fraud.

I WISH that either of them were talking about single-payer system (or as you would say "socialized medicine")...lol...but they are not. Wow, your reputation as a bold-faced liar is certainly earned IMO Mr. Kibbe .

"would be paid for through higher taxes on individuals, small businesses and corporations."

Yea, *rich* individuals and corporations...entities that haven't been paying their fair share in quite a while BTW. Neither Obama nor Clinton are ignoring the SS situation, but keep on spinning and trying to scare people...
