Senator Grassley ostracized from Iowa conservative circles
July 15th, 2008 by Brendan SteinhauserSenator Chuck Grassley is having some problems with conservatives in Iowa. Matt Lewis over at TownHall.com writes, “According to a reliable source, some conservatives (believing Sen. Grassley has lately been drinking too much water from the Potomac), decided to punish the sitting senior senator by not including him as a national delegate for the Republican National Convention.”
Senator Grassley has been supporting big government policies and income distribution. He is a liberal when it comes to health care policy and a porker when it comes to agricultural policy.
Something tells me this trend will not go away as long as Grassley is obstinate about maintaining his big government ways.

It’s about time.
I remember Bush’s State of the Union address…I think it was two years ago…when he made a statement about wanting much more use of (and subsidies for) corn ethanol. The camera turned to Grassley (in the audience) who had a big s**t-eating grin (or maybe corn-eating) on his face and all I could think of was “Oh boy, this is going to be expensive.”
